The analysis of the results of a comprehensive study (ultrasound + cytology) in patients with thyroid nodules up to 1 cm is presented. Were compared the results of the pathomorphological, cytological and ultrasound findings, were evaluated the sensitivity and specificity of the ultrasound examination and the fine needle aspiration biopsy using the ultasound in a diagnosis of the subsantimetric thyroid nodes, including microcarcinoma. Were determined the frequency of the erroneous results of the histological and ultrasound diagnostics of the thyroid microcarcinoma.
